Gemma Hall

Gemma has over 20 years’ experience working in learning, development and education, primarily in local authority, college and health and care settings.  She began her learning and development career building skills in designing and delivering a range of learning interventions, initially specialising in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) and developing into wider corporate training roles including leadership and management development, programme management of learning re-design and implementation of virtual learning, development of learner self-service initiatives and LMS implementations and workstream leadership across new digital system implementations.

Alongside Gemma’s corporate training roles, she completed an MSc in Social Research Methods and Statistics and a PGCE which enabled her to progress into a lecturing position on a Business Management Degree, teaching Economics, Finance, Project Management and Strategic Management.  Gemma has worked in the health and care sector since 2017, initially as a Learning and Development Manager at an NHS Trust and then in Health Education England as Relationship Manager to lead national and regional workforce development apprenticeship implementations, establishing apprenticeships as a key tool to develop the workforce.

In Gemma’s current position of Associate Director of Learning and Development, she leads the Learning and Development department. She is passionate about ensuing quality and providing opportunity; ensuring that all of our provision is of the highest standard and provides opportunities for all learners to reach their potential.
