Professional Development Lead
Rebecca brings over 29 years of experience as a Dental Nurse across diverse settings, specialising in patient care, surgery and oral health promotion. With 22 years in learning and development and 12 years in leadership, she excels in training, quality assurance and managing educational programs. Currently, Rebecca supports student placements, professional development and preceptorship, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver exceptional learning opportunities.
Rebecca is committed to creating a learning environment that is engaging, inclusive and conducive to learning which supports students and colleagues in professional growth and career progression. She has a passion for lifelong learning and is keen to continue to develop her own skills and capabilities and utilise this to achieve high quality standards in learning and development.
Rebecca spearheaded the development of nursing and allied health professional (AHP) preceptorship programs, earning the National Preceptorship Quality Mark and led specific region service mobilisation, ensuring seamless transitions and positive stakeholder experiences.
In 2012, Rebecca volunteered at the London Olympic Dental Clinic during the Olympic and Paralympic Games, providing care to athletes worldwide. Observing varied oral health levels, she recognised its impact on general health, inspiring her to create and deliver educational packages on promoting oral health to healthcare professionals and schools.
