| Pre-requisites | All clinical colleagues who care for patients needing wound care and have some exposure to wound care in your clinical setting. It would be helpful if you are able to observe wound care management in practice prior to the course, but not essential. |

The aim of the learning is to provide the background theory related to the skin, its function and the process of wound healing. It provides information on dressing types and their application in practice. It gives the learner an understanding of the professional responsibilities when caring for patients living with wounds.
